How to connect TTLock with HazCheckin: one temporary code per booking

Step-by-step guide to connecting your TTLock account with HazCheckin: assign your locks to each property and let every booking get a temporary code once registration is complete.

If your properties use keypad locks managed from the TTLock app, HazCheckin can create each booking’s code for you: valid only during the stay, and visible to the guest only once guest registration is complete.

What the integration does

  • Creates one access per booking, using the property’s check-in and check-out dates and times.
  • Delivers it at the right moment. The guest sees their access on the check-in page once every traveller has completed registration (and signed the contract, if you use one).
  • Follows booking changes. If the dates change, the access is updated; if the booking is cancelled, it is removed; at checkout, it expires.
  • Leaves other stays alone. Each booking has its own access: removing it does not affect other guests.
  • Remote opening from your dashboard if the lock has it enabled and the gateway is connected.

Requirements

A HazCheckin account on the Pro or Enterprise plan and the organisation admin role: only an admin can connect accounts, assign doors and open remotely.

  • A TTLock keypad lock that supports custom passcodes.
  • A TTLock gateway connected to the lock: codes are created and deleted remotely through it.
  • For remote opening, the “Remote unlock” option enabled in the TTLock app.

Step 1: connect your TTLock account

  1. In your HazCheckin dashboard, go to Integrations → Smart locks.
  2. On the TTLock card, enter the email or phone number and the password of your TTLock app account.
  3. Click Connect. The password is only used to obtain the access permission; it is not stored.

Credentials are stored encrypted and are only used to manage access for your bookings.

Step 2: find your devices

Click Find devices. Under “Devices and groups” you will see each door with what it supports — PIN, Link or Remote unlock — and whether it is online. The Unlock button sends a test opening: only use it if you know who is at the door.

If a lock appears Offline, check that the gateway is powered on and close to the door.

Step 3: assign doors to each property

  1. Open the property and click Smart locks.
  2. Tick that property’s doors and mark each one as Private (the door of the stay) or Common (building entrance or shared area).
  3. Check the time zone and the check-in and check-out times: they set how long the access is valid on the lock.
  4. Choose how many hours in advance the access is created and how many it is shown to the guest. Showing it earlier does not make it valid earlier.
  5. Optionally add entry instructions and save.

Step 4: check a booking

On each booking you will find the “Doors for this reservation” card. By default it gets the property’s common areas and its private door if there is only one; use the switches to choose by hand, for example to assign a specific room. Below it you can see the state of each access (Creating, Ready, Revoked…) and the Withdraw access button.

The code is sent to the lock through the gateway; if the gateway is off, the access is retried later.

Frequently asked questions

When does the guest see their access?

Once every traveller on the booking has completed registration, and within the delivery window you configured. They also get an email with the link to their check-in page; the code is never sent by email.

What happens if the dates change or the booking is cancelled?

The access is updated with the new dates or removed from the lock. For bookings that arrive through a PMS or iCal, the change is applied within an hour.

Can I remove an access manually?

Yes, with Withdraw access on the booking. Other bookings are not affected.

What happens if I disconnect the account?

Active accesses are removed and, once the revocations finish, the credentials are deleted. Future bookings stop receiving access.

Can I use a TTLock developer account?

No. You connect with the same account you use to manage the locks in the TTLock app.
