How to connect Mews with HazCheckin: automatic reservations and traveller reports
Step-by-step guide to integrating Mews with HazCheckin: enable the connection from the Mews Marketplace, paste your Access token and let every reservation arrive with the guest's details and its traveller report on autopilot.
Updated on 8 August 2026

If you run your hotel on Mews, you never need to type a reservation again: HazCheckin connects directly to your property, imports it and receives every reservation with the guest’s details — name, email and phone. From there, the usual flow: the guest checks in online and the traveller report is submitted automatically to SES.HOSPEDAJES or the Mossos d’Esquadra, on time.
What the integration does
- Imports your Mews property as a HazCheckin property, with name, address, capacity and location — or links it to a property you already created. Each Mews connection corresponds to one hotel: if you manage several, connect each one separately.
- Syncs reservations automatically. Every new or updated reservation in Mews shows up in your dashboard with the main guest and their contact details.
- Sends the check-in link without you lifting a finger, because the reservation arrives with the guest’s email — unlike iCal syncing, which only brings dates.
- Respects your work. Syncing only touches reservations you haven’t handled yet: once a booking has its check-in done or its report submitted, no Mews change silently modifies it.
Requirements
A Mews account with Marketplace access (or an admin who can approve connections) and a HazCheckin account with at least the trial period active.
Step 1: enable HazCheckin in the Mews Marketplace
- Log in to your Mews account.
- Go to the Marketplace and search for HazCheckin.
- Click Connect and confirm the connection. If you don’t have the permissions, ask your property’s admin.
- Mews will provide the connection’s Access token. Copy it.
Treat the Access token like a password: it gives read access to your Mews property.
Step 2: connect HazCheckin
- In your HazCheckin dashboard, go to Integrations (side menu).
- Paste the Access token into the Mews card and click Connect Mews.
- HazCheckin validates the token against Mews on the spot and stores it encrypted; it is only used to read your property and reservations.
There is no webhook URL to copy and nothing else to configure: real-time event delivery is set up at the level of the HazCheckin integration in Mews.
Step 3: link or import your property
After connecting you’ll see your Mews hotel. You can:
- Import it as a new property: HazCheckin creates it with the name, address, capacity and location. Then just review the details and add your SES.HOSPEDAJES credentials.
- Link it to an existing property: pick it in the dropdown and click Link.
Only reservations from the linked property are synced — you decide when they start flowing in.
Step 4: let reservations flow in
From then on, HazCheckin receives every new or updated Mews reservation in real time thanks to the webhook, and additionally sweeps your account once an hour in case anything slipped through. You can also force a pass with the Sync now button.
Each imported reservation arrives with its dates, source channel and the primary guest with email and phone, so the check-in link is sent automatically and the reminders do the rest.
Frequently asked questions
What happens if I cancel a reservation in Mews?
If it was still pending or confirmed in HazCheckin, it’s cancelled automatically. If its check-in was already done or its report submitted, it’s left untouched — you resolve that case from the dashboard.
I manage several hotels in Mews — can I connect them all?
Each Mews connection corresponds to one property. If you manage several, connect each one with its own Access token from its Mews account.
Can I disconnect Mews?
Yes, from the same Integrations page. The property and reservations already imported are kept; they simply stop syncing.
Can I use Mews and another PMS at the same time?
Yes. Each integration is independent and each HazCheckin property links to a single source, so you can mix Mews, Guesty, Lodgify, Cloudbeds, Smoobu and Hostaway properties and iCal calendars in the same account.
