How to connect Hostaway with HazCheckin: automatic reservations and traveller reports

If you manage your properties with Hostaway, you never need to type a reservation again: HazCheckin connects directly to your account, imports your listings and receives every reservation with the guest’s details — name, email and phone. From there, the usual flow: the guest checks in online and the traveller report is submitted automatically to SES.HOSPEDAJES or the Mossos d’Esquadra, on time.

What the integration does

• Imports your Hostaway listings as HazCheckin properties, with name, address, capacity and location — or links them to properties you already created.
• Syncs reservations automatically. Every new or updated reservation in Hostaway shows up in your dashboard with the main guest and their contact details.
• Sends the check-in link without you lifting a finger, because the reservation arrives with the guest’s email — unlike iCal syncing, which only brings dates.
• Respects your work. Syncing only touches reservations you haven’t handled yet: once a booking has its check-in done or its report submitted, no Hostaway change silently modifies it.

Requirements

A Hostaway account with dashboard access (API access is included) and a HazCheckin account with at least the trial period active.

Step 1: create your API key in Hostaway

1. Log in to your Hostaway account.
2. Go to Settings → Hostaway API.
3. Click Create, give the key a name (for example, “HazCheckin”) and confirm.
4. Hostaway will show you your Account ID and the API key. Copy both: the key is only shown that first time. If you lose it, create a new one.

Treat the API key like a password: it gives access to your Hostaway account.

Step 2: connect HazCheckin

1. In your HazCheckin dashboard, go to Integrations (side menu).
2. Paste the Account ID and the API key into the Hostaway card and click Connect Hostaway.
3. HazCheckin validates the credentials against Hostaway on the spot and stores them encrypted; they are only used to read your listings and reservations.

On connecting, HazCheckin automatically registers a webhook in your Hostaway account: no URL to copy, nothing else to configure.

Step 3: link or import your listings

After connecting you’ll see the list of your Hostaway listings. For each one you can:

• Import it as a new property: HazCheckin creates it with the name, address, capacity and location. Then just review the details and add your SES.HOSPEDAJES credentials.
• Link it to an existing property: pick it in the dropdown and click Link.

Only reservations from linked listings are synced — you decide what comes in.

Step 4: let reservations flow in

From then on, HazCheckin receives every new or updated Hostaway reservation in real time thanks to the webhook, and additionally sweeps your account once an hour in case anything slipped through. You can also force a pass with the Sync now button.

Each imported reservation arrives with its dates, source channel (Airbnb, Booking, direct…) and the primary guest with email and phone, so the check-in link is sent automatically and the reminders do the rest.

Frequently asked questions

What happens if I cancel a reservation in Hostaway?

If it was still pending or confirmed in HazCheckin, it’s cancelled automatically. If its check-in was already done or its report submitted, it’s left untouched — you resolve that case from the dashboard.

Do Airbnb reservations coming through Hostaway carry the guest’s real email?

Airbnb usually provides a relay (alias) email instead of the personal one. The check-in link still reaches that alias, and you always have the reminders and the property’s generic link with QR as a backup.

Can I disconnect Hostaway?

Yes, from the same Integrations page. Properties and reservations already imported are kept; they simply stop syncing. On disconnect, HazCheckin also removes the webhook from your Hostaway account.

Can I use Hostaway and another PMS at the same time?

Yes. Each integration is independent and each HazCheckin property links to a single source, so you can mix Hostaway, Guesty, Lodgify, Cloudbeds and Smoobu properties and iCal calendars in the same account.
